Comments: This rare pamphlet was the result of an unfortunate quarrel between Baum and Denslow, each claiming chief responsibility for the success of their collaboration. When the Geo. M. Hill Co. went bankrupt in 1902, Oglivie aquired the uncut sheets of Denslow's color plates and issued them with an undistinguished text printed on the reverse; two of the plates were pasted down as endleaves. |
