Comments: Cox begins his book on the Munchkins with an account of how the troupe was assembled, and then tells how the midgets were filmed for The Wizard of Oz. After listing the names of all but two of the people who portrayed Munchkins (that's 122 names), Cox provides brief biographies (most based on individual interviews) for nearly 50 Munchkin actors. Finally, about 100 photos show the midget actors before, during, and long after Oz. |
