Comments: Taking place in the time early in her career as the new princess of Oz, this tale tells of Ozma once again donning her clothing she wore as Tip, and travels with her faithful companion the Sawhorse. When she is discovered missing, Jellia Jamb rushes to Glinda to find her whereabouts through the use of the Magic Book. Ozma and the Sawhorse meantime meet many interesting characters with many familiar and new characters. Newly crowned Queen of Oz, Ozma is already bored with her life as a princess, and decides to sneak out with the Sawhorse and have some new adventures, which include an encounter with a Cowardly Lion and a Hungry Tiger. |
