Comments: One of the earliest, and best, biographies of Judy Garland. The book works well on two levels: as a lavish pictorial account of Garland's life and career (including numerous rare photos and not- previously-published candid shots by noted photographer Bob Willoughby), and as a serious biography, with the author probing "beneath the surface of the self-generated myths and discover[ing] a story even more remarkable than the legend.". |
