Comments: In 2019, Highland Park Poetry challenged poets to write about Chemistry (recognizing the 150th anniversary of Dmitri Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements), L. Frank Baum’s Land of Oz (recognizing the 100th anniversary of his death and the 80th anniversary of the MGM film The Wizard of Oz starring Judy Garland), or in the form of a Tricube poem. Tricube is a form created by Philip Larrea, consisting of three verses of three lines each containing only three syllables per line. This collection represents the selected poems by our guest judges, Laura Potts, Sylvia Riojas Vaughn and Sofia Starnes. |
