Comments: The sixth book in this series. To escape the impending rigors of a New York winter, Uncle John, nieces Beth and Patsy (Louise is on her honeymoon), and Patsy's father Major Doyle decide to spend the season in sunny California. Rather than journey by train, they plan to take the train only to Denver and go the rest of the way by automobile. Along the way they meet a young orphan girl named Myrtle Dean and have a series of small adventures. |
