Comments: With an original leaf from the first edition of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz printed in Chicago in 1900. Designed and printed by Peter Routledge Koch. The typeface for the book is modeled after the Bancroft Library's copy of De Evangelica Praeparatione, printed by Nicholas Jenson in Venice,1470. This is a subtle nod to Peter Hanff, the author, as he is the Deputy Director of the Bancroft Library at US Berkeley, as well as the former president of the International Wizard of Oz club. Includes A Bookbinder's Analysis of the First Edition of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, by Michael CO. Riley in a softcover volume. Both in nice slipcase. |
