Over the years countless generations of OZ fans of this classic tale have all wondered or wished the same questions: What if it wasn’t a dream? What if Dorothy’s trip over the rainbow was real? Dorothy and the Wizard’s Wish is the third and final book of the In Search of Dorothy Oz trilogy. In this final episode, the Wicked Witch of the West who has regained the magic shoes and is now more powerful than ever before has cast a spell putting Oz in almost total darkness. The Scarecrow, who had vowed to never reopen the tornado porthole again for fear that the great evil that has arisen in Oz might escape to Dorothy’s land of Kansas, is now thinking that opening the porthole to find Dorothy may be their only hope for survival. But as fate has it, Dorothy finds her own way back to Oz when she stumbles upon an old certificate at the bottom of her dresser drawer that was given to her many years before, known as, The Wizard’s Wish! With time running out, the Scarecrow must find Dorothy who is lost in Oz and unite with the Tin Woodman and Lion to once again try and defeat the Wicked Witch of the West and her army of evil doers.
