Comments: This is a word free or wordless picture-book which attempts to retell the story of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz from the perspective of a Corgi named Ziggy and only using photographs. The photographs used are taken by Oz author Ron Baxley, Jr. of the revitalized Land of Oz theme-park in Beech Mountain, North Carolina and the surrounding area and of his Corgi, Ziggy, while he visited there. The author hopes that young children who are already becoming familiar with the original Oz story will be able to tell it to their parents or discuss it with their parents while looking at the photographs. |
